AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) at Thomas McKean High School aims to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.

The Will to Skill
Milford High School, Milford School District 
Milford High School and Milford Central Academy have partnered to identify students with Honors, Dual Enrollment, and AP potential in order to help students reach their full potential.

Specialized Transition to Employment Pathway (STEP) 
Delcastle Technical High School, New Castle County Vocational Technical School District 
The STEP Program provides students tailored instruction, aligned with the common core standards, that expands academic knowledge across functional and vocational settings, and develops employability and vocational skills. 

STEM Summer Scholars (S 3 )
Office of Curriculum Instruction, Red Clay Consolidated School District 
S 3 is a multi-week summer enrichment program that allows students to apply the principles of STEM to solving real world problems in a carefully structured environment. 

GoBabyGo! 
Smyrna Middle School, Smyrna School District 
STEM students design and modify battery-operated cars with adaptable gears, programming, switches and safety supports, specifically tailored for children to meet their mobility potential.

The General Assembly returned from Easter Break this week and worked on a few bills related to the 
business community. HB310, a voluntary program to be established by the Secretary of State’s office for companies to certify their sustainability programs, passed the House.
