Still waiting to reopen.

We are tracking the 7-day moving average of Covid-19 cases in Georgia and DeKalb County as well as our neighboring counties - Fulton, Gwinnett, Cobb, and Clayton - and we won't reopen the SEFAA Center until there is a sustained drop in the number of cases. That may be starting to happen, so our Crochet Necklace classes in mid-June are open for registration. They will be postponed again(!), however, if the numbers don't continue to drop. The uncertainty is frustrating, but the silver lining is that we have time to explore and expand online classes and events. So, join us virtually until the wonderful day we can meet again in person!

Three New Ventures:

The number of people killed by Covid-19 is staggering - 105,262 in the US and 376,885 globally as of this morning (June 1st). They are husbands, wives, parents, children, family, and friends; they are not anonymous statistics. We believe every individual who has died must be remembered and treasured for eternity. That is why we're proposing a textile project to honor those who have died - probably panels stitched from 7" x 9" (surgical-mask-shaped) textile tributes for each lost life.
