Outagamie County is seeking volunteers to help with three important programs that can make a positive impact for our neighbors in need:
·      Outagamie County Volunteer Driver: This very flexible volunteer role makes sure every child can visit their parents by providing rides to Health & Human Services clients for parent/child visitations. Volunteers choose how often they want to drive, and which rides they want to provide, based on a list of options they receive. While most trips are local, some out-of-town destinations are optional. Mileage is reimbursed.
·      Supervised Visit program: Help families rebuild their relationship in a safe environment by supervising the visits of children in alternate care with their natural parent(s) at an agreed upon site (options include their home, the library or a park). Volunteers can choose their schedule and the assignments. Average time commitment is 1-2 hours a week. Once assigned a case, the schedule is generally consistent. First-time volunteers will shadow veteran volunteers until they feel comfortable with the role.
·      Guardianship Program: Some folks who live in their own home, group home or long-term care facility do not have family or friends willing to help them make important life decisions. That is why we are seeking court-appointed legal guardians – compassionate advocates who help make everyday living/health decisions for people who need them the most. Volunteers are not live-in or hands-on caregivers and do not provide financial assistance.

Local Bishop Installed at CtK!
If you haven’t ever attended a bishop’s installation service, you now have that chance. It is a worship service that affirms the call for our newly elected bishop. Our new bishop of the East Central Synod of WI – Bishop Anne Edison-Albright and a CtK new partner in ministry, will be installed Sunday, April 11th at 10:30am via livestream. We will also see our presiding ELCA Bishop – Elizabeth Eaton and other bishops. We will be following our phase 1 protocol guidelines by masking (when not on camera), social distancing and limiting the number of people in the building for this special service. There are a lot of details for this service and we will be doing a lot to make this service happen safely. That means we will not have parking lot worship that day. We also will move our normal worship to 10:30am to celebrate with our bishop and other ELCA congregations and specialized ministries throughout our synod. Mark your calendars for this special day!
Worship Schedule Change
April 11 worship schedule change for the day – Livestream moved to 10:30am for the Bishop’s Installation and no parking lot worship or Sunday School.
What's the "State of the Church"?
Join the virtual webinar, named “State of the Church” to keep up with the latest news at CtK. We strive to keep you informed and prepare you for what to look forward to. The next webinar will be Monday, April 12 at 6:30pm. Watch for the email blast from CtK closer to the 12th.

Virtual Council

The 2021 CtK Council has been meeting virtually to continue the ministry and work of our congregation. Enjoy the pic from our last council meeting! We extend our deepest thanks for their leadership! They are a gift from God and are guided by the Holy Spirit through prayer, study and conversation. This year we welcome our newly elected officers of the Council:
Ed Albrent - Council President
Sonja Dyreson – Vice President
Jeff Oestreich – Secretary
Karrie Been – Executive Team, member-at-large
