State Grants to Improve Technology and Spur Economic Growth in NEPA’s Underserved Regions

Forty-nine projects across Pennsylvania have received Multi-Purpose Community Facilities Grants this year.


Totaling approximately $45 million, the American Rescue Plan Act-backed funding was given to community anchor institutions and local government projects that create or improve public facilities that enable work, education, and healthcare. 


Five organizations in Central and Northeast Pennsylvania have received almost $7 million, including educational and community boosting initiatives.

Philly Nonprofit Moves Students into Climate-Solution Careers

Nonprofit representative Jackie Robinson is helping students in the Greater Philadelphia Area connect with climate-solution careers.


Over 3 million people are employed by the clean energy industry, but Robinson addresses that many young people in low-income communities are unaware of these careers and how to pursue them.


The Energy Coordinating Agency also helps with recidivism.

These Former Prisoners are Making Sure No One Leaves Prison Alone

A Camden County nonprofit is connecting former inmates to newly release individuals to make reentry more effective.


NuEntry is a peer-led support system that provides a variety of services from a person’s day of release, and following through with assistance traveling, registering for identification, and job and housing support.
