Battling Truancy in Luzerne County with Dungeons and Dragons Club

In response to rising truancy rates, a school district in Luzerne County is introducing several extracurricular clubs, including a Dungeons and Dragons group.


These groups, which aim to increase student connections and engagement, encourage students to be more involved with school life.


Early studies of extracurricular clubs show that student school attendance and grades have improved.
