CSO Opens Mini-Mobile Pantry for Three Central Eastern PA Counties

The Central Susquehanna Opportunities (CSO) has launched a new mini-mobile food pantry to help address increasing food insecurity around Central East Pennsylvania Counties.


The converted, traveling minivan is an extension of the broader food pantry, which reaches communities who may struggle with food access.


Along with food assistance, CSO helps residents with budgeting, transportation aid, and helping connect with other local resources

Free Library’s Cooking Program Promotes Community, Language Learning in Philly

Philadelphia’s Free Library system is running an Edible Alphabet program that combines cooking classes with English language learning.


The sessions, held weekly, have community members work together on recipes and build confidence through conversation and sharing diverse foods.


The Edible Alphabet program also provides new residents with connections to financial and community resources.

Interactive Web Report Update August 2025- Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania saw 115,619 evictions statewide in 2024, a number that is almost on-par with pre-pandemic levels.


Approximately 93 percent of those evictions are due to past-due rent, with the number of renters falling behind by over three months in payment growing.
