Statewide Map Shows Planned Data Centers Across PA

Emilia Doda, a graduate of University of Southern California and NEPA native, has developed a map to show the planned data center projects across Pennsylvania.


Tools such as a citizen-driven maps and online resources help residents better understand what is happening in their communities and provide answers to questions over local developments.


The map, which aims to become open source, provides company announcements, news, and location data.

Inside the Program that Helps Kids in Philly’s Foster System Deal with Trauma

Studies show that up to 80 percent of children in foster care experience significant mental health issues, and up to 90 percent experience trauma, causing challenges for both the children and their foster care guardians.


One of the most impactful resources for these challenges is trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), which uses evidence-based therapy to aid children aged 3-18 address trauma.


This article discusses the CHOP program that helps foster families deal with trauma and mental health.

Maryland’s Approach to Fight Child Poverty Offers a Path for Other States

In 2023, 11 percent of all children living in Maryland were living in poverty.


Since taking office, Governor Wes Moore has prioritized address child poverty by using a “whole government approach” and a cross-agency Children’s Cabinet to coordinate efforts and resources.
