Through its webinar series, IIN continues to facilitate informed decision-making and instill confidence in potential investors. The latest one, "Exim 101: Introducing Financing Products and Services," was a joint event between IIN and U.S. EXIM Bank.


This particular webinar, which took place on March 29, 2024, convened selected stakeholders to discuss investment challenges and opportunities in Africa to promote capital flow and address funding gaps with the help of U.S. EXIM tools.

The IIN team wrapped up the week by attending the Export-Import Bank of the United States's (EXIM) Global Finance Access Summit on the sidelines of the World Bank Group Spring Meetings. The high-level strategic dialogue showed EXIM's convening power and continued partnership with the U.S. investor community.

U.S. INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS' DELEGATION TO THE CORPORATE COUNCIL ON AFRICA (CCA) 2024 U.S-AFRICA BUSINESS SUMMIT, MAY 6-9

In May 2024, and for the third year in a row, the Institutional Investor Network (IIN) team led a delegation of 10+ U.S. investors to the Corporate Council on Africa's (CCA) 2024 US-Africa Business Summit held in Dallas, Texas, May 6-9.


During these four packed days, the delegates participated in pitch sessions, served as panelists, actively engaged with all stakeholders, and built relationships with Pan-African fund managers in attendance.

On June 10-12, 2024, IIN had the privilege of attending the National Association of Securities (NASP) 35th Annual Financial Services Conference and events organized on the sidelines of this annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.

On June 10, the Institutional Investor Network (IIN) team co-hosted a breakfast discussion with the Invesco US team at Invesco's Atlanta HQ.


This event was an opportunity for Invesco to share an overview of its ESG Capabilities and present its Climate Adaptation Action Fund (ICAAF) strategy to various stakeholders.

Africa and Emerging Markets (AEMS)



The Institutional Investor Network (IIN), through its Executive Director Bintou Kaboré Zerbo, was honored to co-chair this year's Africa and Emerging Markets Summit (AEMS) track of NASP's 35th Annual Financial Services conference.


The panel discussion, titled "Mitigating Investment Risk and Stimulating Capital Flows in Africa: Examining the Role of Western Governments in Promoting Investment, Economic Growth, and Stability", provided valuable insights on how U.S. institutional investors can better evaluate emerging market allocations with the necessary risk mitigation tools to foster successful transactions.
