“Instruction ends in the schoolroom,

but education ends only with life.”

-Frederick W. Robertson

Social media has been flooded with all the 'lasts' from this year's graduating class. The last sports event. The last band concert. The last awards night. The last day. All of those 'lasts' will lead each of these students to their new line-up of 'firsts'.

First day of college. First time living on their own. First encounters with an entirely new population of peers and mentors as they spread their wings and find new adventures. First time realizing refrigerators aren't self-stocked with condiments. What an exciting time!

One new tradition that I love so much is the Senior Stroll. Before the Class of 2023 makes their way across the stage at graduation, they stroll through downtown Elkhorn. The joy and anticipation is palpable. I strongly encourage anyone who can attend to make their way downtown at 1pm tomorrow (June 1st) to bare witness to this amazing gaggle of graduates!

Grab lunch downtown or a snack from your favorite coffee shop and get ready for the sea of caps, gowns and smiles to make their way through town. Seniors will start their stroll at the corner of Geneva and S. Wisconsin and make their way to Friends on the Square where they will 'Cheers!' themselves and enjoy refreshments on the patio.

Spring has sprung and so have our seniors!

Let's celebrate them together.
