Roslyn Public Schools
March 18, 2020

Dear Roslyn Families,

As our teachers roll out the implementation of their learning plans this week, I know there are a lot of questions. You should contact your child's teacher(s) department chairperson, director, assistant principal, or principal, if you have any questions.

Mostly I want to urge everyone to have patience. It goes without saying that this is a unique situation and that we've never had to communicate this way before, let alone on such a large scale. We're just getting started, and the delivery of instructional content will get better and easier as we all get used to communicating this way. Building leaders and teachers will be sending more messages over the coming days. New and creative ways of delivering material to students will emerge as we move forward. We will address any technical issues as quickly as we can. Please know that our staff is working very hard, though most of them are doing so remotely, in keeping with the requirements of social distancing.

Please continue to practice good hygiene, get some fresh air whenever you can (but not in large groups!), and stay well.

Allison Brown
