Proper Insulation Can Keep Your Power Bill Down

Insulation is one of the most important elements of an efficient home. Ensuring you have enough insulation – and that it's properly installed – will help you minimize energy waste and heating and cooling costs.

One way to assess your insulation levels is to look at your roof on a cold day. If it's solidly frosty, that's good. If some parts are melted and you can see rafter outlines, you may need to add insulation in your attic.

GLOW provides emergency bill payment assistance to income-qualified families.

Heat Pumps Can Keep Winter Bills Lower

Heat pumps can help your energy bills stay lower during cold winter months.

Heat pumps move heat instead of creating heat. This makes them up to three times more efficient than a standard furnace.

If you heat your home with electricity, you may be eligible for a rebate when you install a qualified heat pump.

As an added bonus, heat pumps also provide air conditioning to help keep your home comfortable all year long.

Funds Available for Local Organizations

Local organizations can take advantage of two different programs we offer to help raise funds for their nonprofit or not-for-profit entities.

Our Economic Development Grant is available to local not-for-profit organizations that are engaged in promoting economic development activities. The goal is to create economic opportunities for our communities and to help our various organizations prosper.

Our Vehicle Wash Program is an opportunity for local groups to receive $500 apiece for washing PUD vehicles. Two groups are selected at random each month from March through September to wash vehicles at our office.

Do you think you may be owed a refund for your PUD account?

We have several customers with outstanding, unclaimed checks from us.

Only claimants on the list may file a valid claim on an uncashed check. These outstanding checks are primarily in the form of refund checks for customers who have closed their PUD accounts.

If you know someone who may be owed money by the PUD, please ask them to contact us at (503) 397-1844 with their name, current address, and current phone number.
