News: Insulation Standards Development

NIA has partnered with the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) to facilitate the development of standards in areas related to mechanical insulation in the commercial and industrial markets. NIA Consultant Jeff DeGraaf is overseeing this initiative.

A joint NIA/AMPP Standards Committee (SC) 27, Mechanical Insulation, has been established and is under the leadership of Chairman Jeff DeGraaf, NIA Consultant, Vice Chairman Scott Sinclair, Johns Manville, and Secretary Michael Pardo, S&B Engineers and Constructors. The first meeting will take place on Apr. 9 at the AMPP Annual Conference in Nashville.

Call to Action: NIA members can get involved by requesting to join the NIA working group and/or by joining the AMPP SC 27 (you do not need to be an AMPP member to join).
