Promotion Announcements!

Melissa 2014
Melissa Meyer, President
After careful consideration, we are proud to announce the promotion of Melissa Meyer, CCRP to President of IntegReview IRB.  Her dedication, loyalty, and excellent work ethic as the company's Vice President were key to our decision.  Melissa's enthusiasm, leadership, and skill will be an excellent fit for this position and we look forward to this new era.

Melanie Flores,

VP of Compliance

It is our great pleasure to announce the promotion of Melanie Flores, CCRP to Vice President of Compliance.  Melanie has directed the Regulatory Compliance Department for the past 5 years and prior to that position she was responsible for the oversight of IRB staff and IRB Member training for the past 13 years.  Suffice it to say she is extremely knowledgeable in the regulatory and compliance field.  The Vice President of Compliance is now also the IRB's identified Organizational Official (or Institutional Official [IO]).

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Science Policy (OSP) has recently launched a new website. The new website aims to more accurately reflect the divisions and programs that compose OSP.

OSP's various offices and programs work on a wide range of issues including biosafety, biosecurity, genetic testing, genomic data sharing, human subjects protections, the organization and management of the NIH, and the outputs and value of NIH-funded research .

Gene Therapy Research and
Institutional Biosafety Committees

As you may or may not know, gene therapy research not only requires review/approval by an IRB, but it also requires review/approval by an Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC).

The responsibility of an IBC is to promote the safe conduct of recombinant and synthetic nucleic acid (rsNA) research in compliance with the NIH Guidelines.

Effective in April 2017, IntegReview can now assist with your IBC needs.   Please contact our office for additional information.

CTTI Seeks to Speed Use of Mobile Technology in Clinical Trials through Novel Endpoint Recommendations

On June 26, 2017 a Press Release was circulated announcing the new CTTI recommendations and tools to provide a pathway for using information gathered from mobile technologies to accelerate the development and evaluation of urgently needed therapies.

Mobile technologies such as remote sensors and wearables can be used to make trials faster, more efficient, and more inclusive.  They can also spare patients from burdensome clinic visits while capturing new kinds of data that offer a better picture of how patients experience their disease or condition in their daily lives.
Summer Squash  & Corn Casserole

Summer is here and that means lots of varietals of summer squash reappear at your grocery and farmers markets.  There are hundreds of varieties of summer squash, ranging from dark green to bright yellow, long to stubby, smooth to lumpy to ridged.   What a great time to showcase a delicious recipe to share with your family and friends this summer.
