Rafters and Sheathing Installed on Roof for Integrated Learning House

If you haven't driven past Ray-Pec High School lately, you might be surprised at the changes visible at the Integrated Learning House.

This special house is under construction on the south side of the high school, between the two loading docks. During the past few weeks, walls have been framed and constructed, and the rafters and sheathing are in place for the roof.

During March, some of the students in Ray-Pec's Electrical Studies and HVAC programs at the LEAD Center will be on site to help with construction. Earlier in the process, students in the Heavy Equipment Operators program were on site to assist with the project.

The Integrated Learning House will be a house for students with special needs to practice the skills needed to live on their own. Students will not live in the house, but will use the house as a classroom to learn a variety of tasks. Completion of the house is expected by August 2025. Learn more about the house
