Greetings!
Integrity!
Integrity or moral uprightness is not something that you either have or don’t have. Instead it is an existing growth path that all of us can engage in and obtain in and through Jesus Christ! “Choose you this day whom you will serve.” Joshua 24:15
Take for instance the thief on the cross. While I don’t know his entire background, as he approached the last day of his life he had no integrity, he merely served himself all his life. However, the thief had the courage to meet the demands of the reality he was facing and came under Christ in the last moment of his life-Praise God!
The apostle Peter having left his profession and giving up everything to follow Jesus Christ, lost his integrity when he denied his lord three times. But God is gracious to all of us! “All have sinned an come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 Peter regained his integrity after his humiliation and once again lived for and served his Lord and Savior.
This should give hope to all of us, that regardless of our past circumstances, if we have the courage to meet the demands of the present reality that God is bringing to our attention, if we so choose, integrity can be ours once again! “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 God loves to restore sinners!!!
Integrity, or moral uprightness is not something that is inherently owned by US! It is when we have the courage to surrenders ourselves to JESUS CHRIST that it is gained and then maintained as we REMAIN IN CHRIST! May we all be found IN Christ every day! Romans 3:24, Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 2:13
