Welcome to the Alumni Family, Class of 2019!
On Friday, May 10 family and friends packed UC Berkeley's Greek Theatre to celebrate the outstanding graduates of the class of 2019.

California Supreme Court Associate Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar delivered a thoughtful and uplifting address before Dean Erwin Chemerinsky bestowed degrees upon 329 J.D., 259 LL.M., 8 J.S.D., and 5 J.S.P. graduates.

Congratulations class of 2019, we are so proud of you and can't wait to see what you will do with your Berkeley Law educations. Welcome to the alumni family! View photos from commencement here .

At the annual Brian M. Sax Prize luncheon, winner Nirali Raj Beri '19 (left) (EBCLC Tenants Rights Workshop, Death Penalty Clinic) and honorable mention Hannah Flanery '19 (right) (EBCLC Housing Clinic) were lauded by colleagues and supervisors for their exceptional compassion and skill in client-centered advocacy and providing legal services to marginalized communities.

In 2014, during his 3L year, Adrian Kinsella J.D. '15, LL.M. '19 , who was also an active duty captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, helped bring his platoon’s translator and his family to safety in the United States.

After three years practicing law in the U.S. Marine Corps Judge Advocate Division, Kinsella decided to return to Berkeley Law and earn a master of laws degree and spend time with his family. After earning his LL.M., Kinsella is heading to Sacramento to begin his civilian legal career as a federal prosecutor.
