Welcome Back to School!
We hope that your children are beginning to adjust to the return to school. Many families have started to reach out to us regarding admission to the Boston exam schools. This year, students will be required to test, with the new MAP exam. Below is information from BPS:
Boston Public Schools has three exam schools: Boston Latin Academy, Boston Latin School, and the John D. O'Bryant School of Mathematics and Science. City of Boston students currently in grades 6, 8, and 9 are eligible to apply to exam schools.
Students will have two opportunities to take the MAP Growth test to apply to the BPS exam schools - Spring and Fall. If the student takes the test twice, BPS will use the higher score for the application. The student must complete both sections of the test in order to receive a score. Current BPS students in grades 6 and 8 are eligible to take the test in their current school between December 5 and December 16, 2022 (no registration is required).
Our tutors are trained in preparing students for the MAP exam. To learn more, see link below:
We will continue to be available in home, in libraries, and online. All of our tutoring is customized, and we also have tutors with Special Education backgrounds and certifications; all of our tutors are experienced in implementing IEP/504 modifications.
