The Metrowest Interfaith Community includes faith leaders and community members in the Jewish, Christian, and Baha'i communities of Holliston, as well as the Islamic Center of Boston, the Nejaf Islamic Center, The Islamic Society of Greater Milford, The Sikh Gurdwara of Millis, the Ramakrishna Vedanta Society of Boston (Hindu), and Peace Islands Institute. Together, we provide opportunities for multifaith and multi-spiritual neighbors to come together. In doing so, we honor the mystery of God through our rich diversity and help create communities of solidarity and hope.

We Repair Boston Invitation

I'm Nevia Selmon, the Senior Program Associate at Repair the World Boston (Left on pic). I'm Jewish, and I studied interfaith dialogue and pluralism at Harvard Divinity School — so this work is close to my heart in a real way.
Our Service Corps program brings together young adults (ages 18-30) to do meaningful, sustained service with local nonprofits, alongside a cohort of peers and grounded in Jewish values of repair and responsibility. People of all backgrounds and faiths are welcome and encouraged to apply.
This summer's cohort runs May 18 – July 10 (8 weeks). Corps members serve 3-5 hours a week at a partner site (think food access, housing support, educational equity, women's rights, and more), participate in monthly cohort sessions that include Jewish text study and interfaith exploration, and receive a $750 stipend for their time. It's a real way to sink your roots into Boston while doing work that matters.
We also have a Jewish Ambassador Program — open specifically to Jewish participants — where ambassadors earn $150 per service event for spreading awareness about service and helping recruit others into the work.
Last fall, our community showed up in a beautiful way: corps members packed soup jars at an interfaith iftar break fast in partnership with Peace Islands Institute, bringing together people across faith traditions around both food and service. That kind of moment is what this program is all about.
If this sounds like it could be a fit, you can learn more and sign up here
I'd also love to hop on a quick call if you have questions or just want to hear more about what the experience is like. Happy to connect!

Upcoming Events

Online via Zoom

Join us for an online conversation with filmmaker Elinor (Ellie) Pierce about her short documentary Abraham’s Bridge, a hopeful and thought-provoking portrait of the Tri-Faith Initiative in Omaha, Nebraska. The film traces the project from its early vision in 2005 to its physical realization as a shared campus where a mosque, synagogue, church, and interfaith center stand side by side, connected by a circular wooden bridge and a common garden. Anchored in the shared figure of Abraham, the film explores what it looks like to build coexistence across religious difference in real time.
