The Metrowest Interfaith Community includes faith leaders and advocates in the Jewish, Christian, and Baha'i communities of Holliston, as well as the Islamic Center of Boston, the Nejaf Islamic Center, the Sikh Gurdwara of Millis, the Ramakrishna Vedanta Society of Boston (Hindu), and Peace Islands Institute. Together, we provide opportunities for multifaith and multi-spiritual neighbors to come together. In doing so, we honor the presence of God through our rich diversity and help create communities of solidarity and hope.

  • On November 3, the Interfaith Book Club of ICB and our interfaith community will collaborate and hold a dialogue with the community about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through a book called The Lemon Tree by Sandy Tolan. As we seek common ground, it will be a broader conversation with Jewish and Muslim neighbors and those of other faiths. The venue is Temple Beth Torah in Holliston.tbt@bethtorah.org | bookclub@icbwayland.org..

  • Rabbi Mimi Micner invites us to join the Temple Beth Torah community during the Fall High Holy Days. On October 3, we will gather with the TBT community at Lake Winthrop in Holliston for a special event called Tashlich, an extraordinary atonement ritual at 5 pm. tbt@bethtorah.org

Valarie Kaur, a Sikh Activist, is out with a new "Sacred invitation."

How do we find the wisdom to envision a new world and the courage to fight for it? How do we survive seemingly apocalyptic times?

In a world on fire, how do we find love and joy? Last winter, the same author shared much with our interfaith community in her last book, See No Stranger. Through her Sikh spirituality, she continues to explore how we all transform our communities into seeds of hope.
