2022 Hometown Heroes
The Woodlands Celebration of Excellence Gala, presented by Huntsman, welcomed over 600 guests at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center on Friday, April 1.
Co-chaired by DeAnn Guidry and Nicole Murphy, the gala themed, “The Miracle of Interfaith,” honored the 2022 Hometown Heroes. The evening was dedicated to Rev. Don Gebert, Interfaith’s Founding Executive Director that passed away in March 2021.

Mr. George P. Mitchell inducted the first class of Hometown Heroes in 1999, as part of The Woodlands’ 25th Anniversary celebration. Since this time, 151 individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations have received this honor. Congratulations to this year's Hometown Heroes that were honored! The Woodlands Arts Council Donates
"Canned Art Sculpture" to Interfaith Food Pantry
The Woodlands Arts Council and the National Charity League - The Magnolias Chapter assembled a Canned Art Installation 3-D replica of "Celebrating Abundance", an oil on metal by Guilloume Perez, a featured artist at The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival in April. The replica was made out of 3,333 food cans occupying a 24’ tall by 24’ wide area of space. We are grateful to The Woodlands Arts Council for donating the non-perishable food cans to Interfaith Food Pantry that will serve our neighbors in need.
