Interim Events: Leadership this Sunday Oct. 20
Have you missed the first two Interim Events? Held in the Parish Hall at 9:30 a.m. on alternating Sundays between services, these parish-wide conversations have helped us gain insights into our past and our future. You can review the notes online from each session as they become available although you have to be present to have your voice heard. Contact Bill Queen to learn more about Sunday's Interim Event.
Photos for Online Directory on Oct. 27
Mark your calendar to stop by our photo area in the Parish Hall on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 8:30-11:15 a.m. and receive a free digital head shot. These photos help us learn each other's names and faces in the online directory. It is our hope to have a photograph of every parishioner before the arrival of our new Rector next year. Care for those in Prison
Episcopal Campus Ministry is collecting Bibles and other faiths' holy scriptures for the Grace Inside Chaplains of the Virginia Penitentiary system. If you have a handheld holy book that you can donate you can leave them in the box outside Kim’s office, or in the front hall near the receptionist's office. We will be collecting these through Thanksgiving. If you have any questions please let Mo. Kim know.
Parking Lot Update
Back in July we experienced an electrical outage that caused services to be suspended one Sunday. After coordination with Dominion Power, digging is underway this week in the parking lot. You should not be affected unless you are at church during the weekday; a few of our parking spaces are unavailable while the crew works. The parking lot will be safe and marked so be on the lookout over the next week or so. Workmen have been removing cobblestones as they dig--the cobblestones (several feet under the pavement) are being returned to the City of Richmond for use in historic maintenance.
