Eligibility
- Tenure-track assistant professor at UNLV in STEM areas. Women, and members of other underrepresented populations are highly encouraged to apply.
- U.S. citizenship and permanent residency are not required.
- Research experience in energy related infrastructure and/or artificial intelligence.
Funding Information
- $20,000 (net/not subjected to F&A) for one year.
- Number of awards: at least 1.
- Award period: August 15, 2023 to August 14, 2024.
- No-cost extension is not allowed.
Expectations for Awardee
- Submission of an NSF CAREER proposal within 18 months after the start date of the seed funding project.
- Participation in 80% of the trainings/workshops for junior faculty organized by AI SUSTEIN (five trainings/workshops per year, two hours or less per event).
- Mid-year progress report (1-page limit) and final report within 2 months of the award end date (2-page limit). Formats for the mid-year and final reports will be provided.
Application Outcome Notification
The applicants will be notified of the application outcome via e-mail by July 31, 2023. A brief review will be provided along with the notification.
