Greetings!

The Zentangle community spans continents, languages, and cultures, yet we are all connected through the simple practice of drawing one stroke at a time. On the International Day of Zentangle 2026, we invite you to celebrate that connection with us during a special live-streamed event.

Join us and help make this our biggest year yet!

When: July 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM EDT

What to Expect:

• A warm welcome from the Zentangle HQ Crew
• A special tangling session with Rick and Maria
• A live Question & Answer session with Rick and Maria
• Live chat with Zentangle enthusiasts from around the world (you must be logged into a YouTube account to participate; chat may not be available on all mobile devices)
• The excitement and energy of tangling simultaneously with thousands of tanglers worldwide
  

Materials:

• White 3.5" Original Zentangle Tile
• Black Micron pen
• Graphite Mini Pencil
• Tortillion
• Passion and Gratitude

These are the materials we will be using during the event, but we always encourage you to tangle along with whatever supplies you have on hand.

During the live stream, Rick and Maria will board the Zentangle Time Machine to revisit the moments and stories that have shaped the Zentangle Method and the Zentangle community over the years. What have you always wanted to know about Zentangle's history? Ask us!

We are collecting questions to be answered during the session. Submit yours today, then tune in on July 15th to see if Rick and Maria answer your question.

What is better than celebrating IDOZ? Celebrating with friends! Whether you are in the same room or all over the world, we encourage you to find a way to gather together!

Here's how...

Pick a Location: Your home, a library, a community center, or a Zoom meeting!

Gather Your Materials: White 3.5" Square Zentangle tile, Black Pigma Micron, Zentangle Mini Pencil, and a tortillion.

Gather Snacks: 10:00am is tea time at ZHQ, and snacks are a must! Pick some of your favorites or try a ZHQ favorite: Auntie Sue’s Toasted Rice Cakes or Hubs Peanuts.

Tune in and Tangle: Join Rick and Maria for a live tangling session and feel the excitement and energy of tangling simultaneously with thousands of tanglers worldwide.
