International Guitar Month
|
It's April. The sun is shining (or trying to), the flowers are blooming and we're celebrating All Things GUITAR! In the music world April is International Guitar Month and we love All our Guitar Players. And when we celebrate Guitar Month, it's not just for Acoustic and Electric Guitars. We say "It's a string thing" because we believe that a diversity in music is what makes the world go 'round. Whether you play Ukulele, Mandolin, Banjo or Bass we want to celebrate you, too! Check out what we have in store for this month.

International Guitar Month
We are so excited to celebrate International Guitar Month this year. "Why," you ask? Because we have added some new guitar and amplifier brands to our lineup and we think you will like what they have to offer. Some of our new lines include Spector Basses, Gretsch, Teton, Sublime, and Yamaha Guitars as well as Quilter Amps and a relaunch of GK Amps. We also started carrying Kanile'a Ukuleles. If you're looking for a higher quality Ukulele made in Hawaii, you really should check these out.
If you need another reason to come check out International Guitar Month, we have just about everything guitar related marked down. We even have quite a few items that are marked so low I can't tell you what they are! So if you've had your eye on a certain Guitar, Bass, Amp, Mandolin, Banjo, or Ukulele, come in and see what's going on. You may find something you can't live without!

In case you missed our calendar, we have a lot going on this month! When we celebrate International Guitar Month, we also offer clinics every Saturday morning specifically for guitar players. We've got clinics to help you mic and record your guitar, set up your guitar to get the optimal action and play-ability, how to dial in your amp to get the tone you're looking for and for the first time, a clinic for bass players on how to get more from your bass amp. All clinics are FREE with a canned donation for the Keizer Community Food Bank. Space is limited so please call 503-393-4437 to reserve your seat.
In addition to our clinics, we'll have factory insiders from Quilter Amplification and GK Bass Amps here in the store to help answer any questions you may have. On April 22nd, from 12 - 6 PM, Peter Melton from Quilter Amplification will be here to help introduce you to the Quilter line. Joining us on the 29th, from 11 AM - 4 PM will be Forest Gallien of Gallien-Krueger Bass Amps. He is graciously squeezing a visit in before a gig in Portland on Saturday Night. So not only do these guys represent their companies, they're also performing artists.
To get more information on the clinics, download the PDF of our flyer. You can also call or stop on in!

Gallien-Krueger Bass Amps have been around since 1968. In the almost 50 years it's been around, they continue to produce innovative and sought after Bass Amps. So much so, that Artists from many different musical genres proudly play GK Amps. Flea, Ted Dwayne of Mumford and Sons, Alex Venturella of Slipknot and Norm Stockton, who plays for Lincoln Brewster are just a few of the Electric and Upright Bass players who use GK Amps on stage. Come rediscover GK Amps and meet Forest Gallien, the son of Robert Gallien, Founder and President of GK Amps, on Saturday, April 29th from 11 AM - 4 PM. Come check them out and see what they have to offer.
