The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has postponed implementation of the Residential Real Estate Transfers Rule until March 1, 2026. This delay is intended to reduce compliance burdens while giving the industry more time to prepare, though existing Geographic Targeting Orders will remain in effect.
