Announcements from SEVIS Team |
ENROLLMENT FOR WINTER TERM
As a reminder, all F-1 international students must be enrolled full-time each term to maintain their status.
Students in an Associate degree program must have a minimum of 12 credits, with 9 credits in-person.
Students in ESOL classes must have a minimum of 12 credits in-person.
ATTEND CLASSES
Plan to attend all of your classes in the first two weeks. If you miss class at the beginning of the term for any reason, your instructor may drop you from their class, and give your spot to another student who can attend.
If you don’t plan to attend a class for the full term, you must drop it officially through your MyPCC account. For most classes, you will still be charged tuition unless you drop by Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
DROPPING CLASSES
DO NOT drop any classes, unless you will still have at least 12 credits and enough in-person classes (9 credits for academic students, 12 credits for ESOL).
If you are not fully enrolled (in 12 credits and the required in-person classes), your SEVIS record will be terminated and your F-1 status canceled. In this case, you must depart the US immediately to avoid any negative consequences. You can confirm with the OISS SEVIS Team if you have any concerns.
DROP DEADLINES
The last day to drop an 8-12 week class and receive a full refund is Tuesday, January 14, 2025. All drops must be done in MyPCC before 10:00 PM on January 14. Please visit How to drop a class for more information.
Classes shorter than 8 weeks may have an earlier deadline. To see the drop deadline for your class, log in to MyPCC and click “See your drop and withdraw deadlines” in the Term-to-Term Checklist.
LATE REGISTRATION
If a class has already started, you will not be able to register for it. You need permission from the instructor, called an “override.” Email the instructor with your full name, G#, and the class that you want to add. Once you have the override, you must register for the class through your MyPCC account. The deadline for late registration is Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
MANDATORY SEVIS CHECK-IN FORM
All continuing F-1 international students must complete this Mandatory SEVIS Check-In by Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
Exception: Students in their first term at PCC

| Computer Lab at SE is Hiring |
Do you love helping others? Are you the go-to person for tech basics, like logging in, printing, or solving “Why isn’t this working?!” moments?
The Student Computing Center is looking for friendly, tech-savvy Lab Assistants to keep our computer lab running smoothly. You’ll provide basic technical support, maintain a productive work environment, and ensure students have a stress-free experience using campus technology. This isn’t a tutoring job – you’re here to help with computers, not coursework!
What You’ll Do:
- Be the welcoming face of the lab! Greet students, answer questions, and make everyone feel supported.
- Assist students with basic tech needs, like logging in, accessing MyPCC, printing, or using Google Workspace.
- Troubleshoot common computer and equipment issues (don’t worry, no coding required!).
- Keep the lab clean, organized, and ready for action.
- Work as part of a team to create a positive and professional space.
