New research on the link between tweens’ risk of suicidal behavior and their amount of screen time should serve as a reminder to ingrain healthy screen use habits in kids early on.


The finding that mandated paid sick leave increases cancer screenings may help reduce health care inequities for populations, who disproportionately lack paid sick leave.

COVID-19 Vaccine Options for Employees of UCSF and UCSF Fresno: UCSF employees can obtain a COVID-19 vaccine at Occupational Health Services at Mt. Zion. Information on additional locations and hours of operation will be updated on the OHS website. Appointments for UCSF employees are strongly recommended and can be made through MyChart. UCSF Fresno Mobile HeaL COVID-19 Equity Project will continue to operate its drive-through location through Apr. 14. 

Apply for the UC Women's Initiative for Professional Development by March 24: The program aims to provide participants opportunities to build strategic relationships, actively communicate their value to the organization, advocate for their own needs in the workplace, coach others to demonstrate their value to the organization and increase awareness of diverse UC career paths. Tree Removal Along Parnassus Avenue Through Mar. 20: As part of the next phase of construction of the new hospital at Parnassus Heights, trees will be removed along Parnassus Avenue to access underground utilities. UCSF has committed to replanting 98 trees on and off campus to green Parnassus Heights and has funded an additional 105 trees to enhance the broader San Francisco canopy. Learn more »
