Greetings from Campus | June 2019
Greetings from International Development!

It's been lovely to see so many Smithies lately! We were happy to host more than 40 international Smithies for Commencement and Reunion last month. Check out photos from the events online.

Many people think that things slow down at Smith over the summer, but the International Development office is still quite busy! For starters, we're working with Eleni Partakki '22 who is serving as a CASE Advancement intern learning about alumni relations and development. Eleni will spend the summer reaching out to our international alumni to find out how our international clubs and groups operate. (You'll find more details and the link to an alumni survey below.)

Best wishes for a great summer,

Danielle Brown & Jacqui DeFelice

International Ada Comstock Scholar delivers Ivy Day address
"Am I worthy? Am I even good enough to be here?"

Ingrid Magalhaes, an Ada Comstock Scholar and government major from Brazil spoke at Ivy Day. Read the speech in its entirety here, or watch a video of the speech on YouTube.

At Smith’s 141st Commencement, Ingrid was among the 623 undergraduates awarded degrees. This year’s graduates came to Smith from 40 states and 31 countries around the globe.
We want to hear from you! Take our international alumnae survey.
This summer, our CASE Advancement intern Eleni Partakki '22 will be reaching out to alumni to get an assessment of Smith's international clubs and groups. To let us know how you engage with Smith and Smithies, please take our survey by June 28! You do not have to be a current member of a club to take the survey; you just have to be a Smith alumna living outside the United States.
