How Can WE Help YOU?
HVTDC Featured Expert of the Month:
Mike Nycz
|
When Mike Nycz was hired last September as a Computer Engineer with HVTDC, he brought with him 32 years of experience in product design, verification, and test engineering for IBM. There, he was the recipient of an Outstanding Technical Achievement corporate award for advanced testing techniques.
Now with HVTDC, Mike assists Optimum Applied Systems, Inc. (OAS), a design engineering company in Poughkeepsie, New York. There, he wrote embedded firmware for a Microchip PIC processor that was part of an expansion translator board. OAS has a vendor that supplies sensors for the heat computer product. The sensors currently used are deemed obsolete by the vendor. This expansion translator board allows OAS to make use of new sensors provided by the vendor without requiring a complete redesign of their existing product.
In addition, Mike is now working on a complete redesign of the heat computer for EAW Electronic Systems Inc., whose product name will be EMC 20/20. This redesign will add new features that make the new EAW product more attractive to the current market needs.
Mike's expertise doesn't end there. For Newburgh's GTI Graphic Technology, Inc., he developed software for their multi-view and soft-view lighting products. This involved code for new features as well as incorporating new customer requests. These products that Mike contributed to are currently on the market.
