Capitol Hill/Politics/Government Relations

- Congressman Charlie Crist (FL-13) is seeking Full time or Part Time interns for Fall 2020. Interns will assist the legislative and administrative staff, answer phones, drafting constituent correspondence letters, performing legislative research and analysis, and various other tasks. District and Florida ties are encouraged but not required.Email [email protected], with your resume, cover letter & a 1-2 page writing sample as a single PDF.
- The Office of Congressman Pete Stauber in Washington D.C. is seeking interns for the Fall of 2020. Responsibilities will include answering phones, managing the front office, giving Capitol tours, greeting constituents, assisting legislative staff with research, assisting with constituent letters, and other tasks as assigned. NOTE - These responsibilities are subject to change due to COVID-19 and teleworking policy. Preferred candidates are current college students or recent graduates who have excellent customer service skills, have a strong work ethic, and pay close attention to detail. Qualified candidates will also have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to work well on a team. Minnesota ties are required, and Minnesota-08 ties are preferred. Internships include a monthly stipend and the office will work with current students to receive college credits. - Congresswoman Lois Frankel’s (FL-21) D.C. office seeks remote interns for the upcoming Fall 2020 semester. This is a fully distanced internship set to begin September 7th, 2020. The ideal candidate possesses a high degree of professionalism and maturity, is committed and diligent, and is a team player with a positive attitude. This position demands the ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills and working cooperatively and courteously with others in a remote setting. Duties include: compiling daily press clips relevant to the office’s priorities, assisting with constituent correspondence, attending virtual briefings to take notes for the legislative team, and providing assistance to the D.C. staff. Undergraduate students and recent college graduates preferred, South Florida ties a plus. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter. Qualified applicants should be detail-oriented, have a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a positive attitude. College students studying in any disciplinary field are encouraged to apply. Intern applicants must be 18 years old and have completed one year of college level coursework. Angerholzer Broz Consulting, LLC, one of the largest Democratic fundraising firms on Capitol Hill, seeks Fall/Winter Interns to begin late summer and end in December 2020 (dates are flexible). We provide political consulting services and raise money for Democratic incumbents and candidates for the House of Representatives. Our clients include Members from around the country, from various committees, and in positions of House Democratic and Congressional Black Caucus leadership. We will be organizing virtual events and laying the groundwork for our clients’ success. Intern projects include donor research, event planning, administrative duties, and working directly with the staffs of various top campaigns. You will learn about campaign fundraising, be exposed to the workings of Capitol Hill, and provided with great networking opportunities. This internship requires a minimum of 3 days a week and provides a great hands-on learning experience with good professional exposure. Political experience is a plus but not required. Applicants should possess strong conservative credentials, effective writing and research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. - Congressman Ted Lieu has an opening for a Staff Assistant in his Los Angeles District Office. Primary responsibilities include answering phones, maintaining the front office, assisting with various administrative and legislative duties and aiding constituents with federal casework. The Staff Assistant will greet constituents, ensures that constituent requests for assistance are directed to the appropriate staff member in a timely manner and will assist district staff to ensure the proper execution of events and programs in the district. The successful applicant must have a positive attitude and the ability to work and set priorities in a fast- paced and challenging environment. Strong writing and verbal communications skills are essential. A valid California Driver License and automobile are required. Bilingual skills are a plus.
