The Office of Congressman Ralph Norman (SC-05) is seeking interns in his Washington, D.C. office for the Spring 2021 session. The Spring session will take place from January to May. Responsibilities will include answering phones, assisting staff with legislative research, processing constituent mail, drafting constituent correspondence, compiling media clips, and performing other general office duties. Ideal candidates should have a strong work ethic, strong written and verbal communication skills, and possess a positive attitude. South Carolina ties are encouraged but not required. The internship schedule is flexible to accommodate classes. Interested candidates should apply by emailing their cover letter and resume to [email protected] by December 15th. The Democratic Staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Rules and Administration seeks full-time undergraduate, graduate, or law students to virtually work during the Spring 2021 semester. Clerks and interns will assist Committee staff with research and the drafting of legislation, memos, talking points, and letters. Projects will focus on a variety of areas within the Committee’s jurisdiction, including election administration, campaign finance, and oversight. Successful applicants will have excellent research and writing skills and be highly motivated. Applicants should have at least 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a congressional setting. Primary duties include welcoming and interacting with visitors; answering phone calls with a pleasant and professional demeanor; processing mail; drafting memos, letters, and other Committee documents; assist in preparing for Committee hearings, markups, and briefings; and ad hoc projects as assigned. Candidates should have excellent communications and interpersonal skills, should be team oriented while able to work independently, highly-organized, professional and resourceful. The Walsh Exchange, hosted by Georgetown University’s esteemed Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, is the United States' premier conference for undergraduate research in the field of international relations. This year’s theme is “Planning for the UnEXpected: Crisis and Change in the 21st Century.” Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the conference will be held virtually April 9-10, 2021.
