Last week, Miami-Dade County scheduled a meeting to discuss the next steps for the Old Cutler Road Intersection Improvements for Palmetto Bay.

A traffic study was previously performed by Marlin Engineering, Inc. to assess the current traffic conditions along Old Cutler Road in Palmetto Bay. The goal of the study was to identify options that improved the flow of traffic along Old Cutler Road from SW 136th Street to SW 184th Street. Traffic simulations were performed showing present conditions compared to the improved traffic flow with the addition of 2-lane traffic circles or roundabouts for several key intersections that included the following:

1.   Old Cutler Road at SW 67 Avenue
2.   Old Cutler Road at SW 136 Street
3.   Old Cutler Road at SW 152 Street
4.   Old Cutler Road at SW 184 Street
You may view the traffic simulations for SW 136 Street and SW 152nd Street on our website by clicking here.

As a county road, the improvements on Old Cutler Road will be coordinated and funded by Miami-Dade County.
