Social isolation and feelings of loneliness are  associated  with suicidal thoughts. Consequently, the more people feel disconnected from their friends, peers and colleagues, the more isolated they become. (Read More)

Mecklenburg’s local stay-at-home order will lifted on Wednesday, loosening restrictions on funerals, some businesses and recreational activities that are allowed under Gov. Roy Cooper’s executive order. (Read More)

Veterans Affairs health workers  closed April with another grim Coronavirus milestone: More than 8,000 patients within the system have tested positive for the fast-spreading illness. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the three NC STRIVE regional conferences that were scheduled for 2020 had to be canceled. In lieu of these conferences, we are offering an hour-long virtual event for both Student Veterans and the higher education staff, faculty, and administrators who work with them. (Read More)
