Dancing in September
Dust off your crockpots, get out the thick socks and warm blankets, stockpile your firewood and some cozy reads for the coming Fall season. We've got a loads of new books hitting shelves every week in September and October, so be sure to drop by and fill up your To-Be-Read list for those chilly autumn nights. (Come by during our new fall extended hours: Wednesdays-Fridays 10am to 6pm.)

A special thanks to all who attended our inaugural Author Stage this Saturday & Sunday — it was an incredible weekend of Connecticut's finest local authors sharing their talents. If you missed this year's festivities, we still have a number of limited signed copies available at the shop, get yours before they're gone!

Speaking of limited availability, you've no doubt heard about the many shortages and supply chain challenges which will be impacting the holiday shopping season. It is true: if there is a specific title or edition you want, or want to give, ordering early is recommended. (Also, River Bend members get 20% off of preorders, so definitely take advantage of that!) But for you last minute shoppers, have no fear. Our bookstore is run by thoughtful humans who know more about books than their online algorithm ranking. We promise to have thousands of books in stock right up to Christmas Eve, and there is nothing more we would rather do than talk with you about books -- any day of the year.
