A Message for Our Intracontinental Region: Strength, Solidarity, and New Beginnings
As we enter this new season together, our hearts and minds remain anchored to the events of October 7th, a day that reshaped the lives of Israelis and Jewish communities around the world. The pain of that day continues to reverberate—through families still grieving, communities still rebuilding, and a nation still fighting for safety and security. We hold close the memory of those lost, and we pray for the healing of the wounded, Their names, their stories, and their futures remain in our prayers.
In the months since, our commitment to supporting Israel has only deepened. Across our sisterhoods, women have stepped forward with compassion, determination, and action—organizing learning sessions, sending supplies, raising funds, writing letters, and showing up in ways that reflect the very best of WLCJ. Our bond with Israel is not abstract; it is personal, rooted in shared history, shared values, and shared destiny. As a region, we reaffirm that connection with pride and unwavering solidarity.
At the same time, this moment calls us toward new beginnings within the Intracontinental Region. We are entering a chapter defined not only by resilience, but by renewal. Our communities are rediscovering what it means to gather, to learn, to lead, and to lift one another up. We are strengthening leadership pipelines, expanding opportunities for engagement, and building bridges across our diverse sisterhoods. This is a time to imagine boldly, to create intentionally, and to nurture the next generation of women who will carry our mission forward.
The juxtaposition of grief and hope is deeply familiar in Jewish life. As we move ahead, we do so with the understanding that our work—our learning, our advocacy, our acts of kindness—are themselves expressions of faith. They are how we honor the past, respond to the present, and shape the future.
May this season bring comfort to those who mourn, strength to those who lead, and inspiration to all of us as we continue building a vibrant, connected, and compassionate Intracontinental Region.
Together, we go from strength to strength.
