This month there are a wide variety of activities available for you, your family and friends to be active and explore this great city!
Cleveland Metroparks - There are over 100 hiking trails and more activities.
PlayCLE - The weather is always perfect in this indoor adventure park!
Harrison-Dillard Bikeway - A great place to stroll, run or bike on MLK.
Play Ballpark @ MLB All Star Game - Zip Lines, batting cages and other fun!
Lake Metroparks - Try archery, boating, birding and more on Cleveland's eastern edge.
Towpath Trail - Bike or walk this historic path and see beautiful Northeast Ohio scenery.
Take a Hike Walking Tours - Join one of six different weekly walking tours of Cleveland.

On campus, join us for our next Wellness Pop Up Event on July 25th between noon and 1:30 PM on the TVUC patio. This is time to relax, throw a ball around, and just have fun with fellow CWRU faculty and staff. No registration is necessary but if you want a reminder, sign up!

Rapid Workout Returns on Thursday Nights

Join the Wellness Team for six weeks of short but intense HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) on Thursday nights in Crawford. Rapid Workout combines cardio and strength training in each class, with the intensity increasing over time. Not a class for those new to exercise, Rapid Workout is a challenging but fun way to wrap up the workday.

NEW!! Intro to Hip Hop Cycling
Fridays this summer, learn the ins and outs of indoor cycling and have a great time! In this six week series, Tangela Scott will introduce new riders to the bike and lead more and more challenging workouts each week.

Afternoon Parking at Veale and Wyant
Because our campus is expanding, it might be hard for some to easily access the free workout facilities, Wyant and Veale Recreation Centers. The Wellness Program has partnered with Access Services to allow parking pass holders to park in Lot 46 by Wyant or the Veale garage weekdays after noon. If you haven't checked out the campus fitness centers, summer is a great time to explore.
Don't Forget these Great Ongoing Opportunities
SelfHelpWorks is a suite of online programs designed to help participants with healthy habit change. These classes can be completed at any time, anywhere there is internet access.
Completing programs in stress management (LivingEasy) nutrition (LivingLean) or fitness (LivingFit) can be counted for the Wellness Program incentive. Learn more!
Our partners at WW are running an enrollment special through July 26th.
In addition to the 50% subsidy, new members will receive an Inspire box full of snacks, recipes, even a 60-day membership to Headspace.
Onsite meetings occur on Thursdays in Thwing. Or, participants can take part in a community meeting. Learn more and sign up

Feelings of Depression are Normal
At least 16.2 million adults suffer a major depressive episode annually. The Wellness Program reminds the community that the best way to deal with depression is to ask for help.
In this powerful 7 minute TedTalk, Nikki Webber Allen shares her story of seeking help.
The university Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offered through Impact Solutions provides free, confidential counselors to help faculty and staff as well as their extended families. Learn more about this important benefit on the Wellness Website.
