At the Table Colorado
is about coming together, through conversation; old fashion, face to face, in person conversation, to discuss the topics and issues of the day. Everyone, literally EVERYONE, is invited; family, friends, students, neighbors,
co-workers and even strangers from the neighborhood, surrounding communities and region. All voices are welcome, and your voice matters At the Table Colorado.
During the third week in September
, people throughout Colorado, will meet over a meal or coffee, potluck or catered; in homes, businesses, libraries, museums, schools, universities, gardens, homeless shelters, houses of worship, anywhere and everywhere, to share ideas and to listen to each other.
Coming together, as equals, strengthens our communities and empowers people to create the change they wish to see, together.
The “Table” concept was developed by the Chicago Community Trust, as On the Table and launched in 2014. Since then, “Table” has spread successfully across the nation, with each region weaving its own essence into the fabric of its conversations. Cities with “Table” projects willing share ideas, suggestions and collaborate with each other creating a true grassroots movement; a creative public square, where all are welcome. ATTC is the first statewide “Table” and the first in the Rocky Mountain west.
Here, in our first ATTC newsletter, we introduce you to some of our community partners, share insights from the founders of the concept and provide news about upcoming ATTC events. In the future we will include resources and tips on how to plan your “Table,” updates on our partners and the latest developments about “Tables” in your region.
Please share your ideas and suggestions on how we can make At the Table Colorado more successful and accessible for all Coloradans.
Your voice matters Colorado!
