CSW Science Olympiad Teams

Place 1st and 2nd in State Competition

The Charter School of Wilmington’s two Science Olympiad teams competed at the Delaware Science Olympiad Tournament on Saturday, March 4, 2023, and in the final standings, CSW Team A finished 1st and CSW Team B finished 2nd out of 43 teams.


For the first time since 2020, students met with teams from across the state in person at Delaware State University and tested their abilities in 24 events. Some events tested knowledge, some required lab-based skills, and others required students to build mechanical or electronic devices that accomplished certain tasks. Read More

CSW Mock Trial Wins State Competition

Congratulations to Team members (pictured left from left to right) Claire McCann, Aryanna Toomer, Ashini Pachauri, Ailene Ni, Rebekah Cheong (captain), Arielle Flaherty (captain), Aadhi Narayan, Suhani Nangia, Caroline Dooley, and Miranda Ting for placing 1st in the State Mock Trial Competition.


As state champions, they represented Delaware in the three-day national competition held May 18-20 in Arkansas and placed 37th. Find Out More

Odyssey of the Mind Teams Top in State

Two of CSW’s Odyssey of the Mind Teams garnered first-place finishes in the March state competition. Kudos to CSW’s Problem 3 Team members: Arianna Li, Cailyn Pan, Alexis Kupchik, Helen Xiang, Adam Fostok, Jason Mei, and Kianna Wilson. They are coached by Mr. Jingkun Li. The teams placed 18th and 20th in the May national competition held in Michigan.



Problem 4 Team members also earned a ticket to the competition. National Merit and College Board Honors

Each year, juniors and seniors are recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and the College Board for their academic achievements in school and exceptional performance on the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, and/or Advanced Placement Exams. We highlight our CSW awardees here...

CSW Represents Delaware in National Envirothon Competition

Congratulations to Mukta Kantak, Tiffany Situ, Zavior Brown, Dhriti Tattari, and Amber Wong for winning the Delaware Envirothon championship on April 27. This team represented Delaware at the 2023 National Conservation Foundation (NCF) Envirothon held at Mount Allison University in Tantramar (Sackville), New Brunswick, Canada, from July 23 to 29, and placed 38th in the nation.
