Exploring Social Movements and Promoting Community Engagement with Civic Action Project

Join Teach Democracy (formerly Constitutional Rights Foundation) and Los Angeles County Office of Education on Thursday, February 8, between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to learn how Civic Action Project (CAP) helps students develop:

  • Increased critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Skills and language to critically analyze, respond, and address social issues through the lens of public policy.
  • A strong sense of civic identity and self-empowerment through informed and relevant civic engagement.

CAP is web-based, standards-aligned, FREE, and an excellent way for students to examine and address issues of equity and public policy in their communities. CAP also satisfies most of the requirements for earning a California State Seal of Civic Engagement on their diplomas!

Visit the CAP website to learn more and inspire your students to be informed and engaged members of our democratic society!
