Happy Tails!
First, our beautiful 10-year-old Maizy, who was adopted from us as a kitten and found herself at PACC after her owner died, found a great new home. Happy life, sweet Maizy.
Next, the two sweet girls who were dumped from a vehicle found their forever home together. Paquita and Chaquita, we are so happy for you.
Here is an update from the new parents of the girls:
"THANK YOU for these two cute pups. In 24 hours, we’ve learned a lot! They were VERY SHY and hesitant when they walked in the door. After two hours, they surprised both of us. WOW! They have an abundance of energy! Very hard to keep them down.
They eat well. Looking for that magic number that will fill them up without stuffing. Last night was a little difficult. After hearing their crying and multiple trips outside, I realized they were probably hungry. That worked, and at 2:30 a.m., we were all asleep.
Things we've learned:
- Little Pequita can jump a two-foot gate. Off to the store for a four-foot gate.
- Pee pads don’t always work.
- They don’t like most of the treats we’ve given them, and we've tried four to five types.
- They don’t like apples and bananas, yet!
- They must have had some training as they do follow simple commands.
They survived being left alone for two hours. Overall, I believe we are going to survive this transition. Amazing how quickly they became comfortable with their new surroundings. They are both still little puppies at heart. Looking forward to lots of laughs with them. And tons of puppy kisses!
Chiquita is now Bailey. Pequita is now Zoe. Thanks for all the information you send us!"
We are grateful to YOU, and to all of you, who open your hearts and homes to these precious beings.
