February is the shortest month of the year, but it's also the sweetest with Valentine's Day! The weather can tend to be slightly unpredictable, but after all we do get our weather prediction from a ground hog. In this edition of New Berlin Notes, we remind voters of the Spring Primary Election on February 21st, we introduce our February business of the month and we share some fun events that the entire family can take part in. Congratulations to our February Business of the Month, Marcus Ridge Cinema

Marcus Ridge Cinema is located at 5200 S Moorland Road. The Ridge features 19 digital auditoriums and Zaffiro's Pizzeria & Bar. With 19 screens, they are sure to have a movie for everyone. Perfect for date night or a fun night out with the family. If you stop at City Hall this month, take a look at their display.

2023 Burn Permit

A burn permit is required in the City of New Berlin. Permits are valid from January 1st - December 31st.

Burn permits are $10 and can be purchased at City Hall or the New Berlin Public Library. You may also mail a separate $10 check made payable to the City of New Berlin with your tax payment and a burn permit will be mailed to you.

2023 Animal License

The City of New Berlin requires a license for dogs and cats that are five months of age or older and have had their rabies shots. Licenses are valid for the calendar year.

The fee is $10 for spayed or neutered animals and $15 for un-spayed and non-neutered animals. There is a $5 late fee if not renewed by March 31st.
