Council Meeting Summary
Church council has been very busy with three meetings in April and May! It has been important to us to keep moving forward with the Capital Campaign and to have a smooth transition as Pastor Sandi leaves and Pastor Sproul joins us. And to keep up with other business too. Read this summary of some of Council's actions in April and May.
Welcome New Members
Jason and Allison Gajramsingh
We are happy to welcome new members, Jason and Allison Gajramsingh to our family here at Immanuel. They moved to the area in 2016 and while searching for churches in the area they came upon Immanuel and attended for the first time in the Fall of 2017.

After attending the Easter service this year they determined that Immanuel was the church for them. They live in Lincoln, Rhode Island along with their son Jonah and daughter Rachel. So when you see them at church, give them a big HELLO and introduce yourself.

By the way the picture above was taken at the Guy’s Grub Competition Dinner at which Jason not only won first place for the Best Entree, but he also won the overall competition for his wonder stuffed manicotti.
New Kneelers and Cushions
On May 16, council unanimously accepted a proposal to spend up to $600 from the Memorial Fund to replace the kneelers around the Communion rails and the cushions on the altar seats. This cost covers the foam cushioning and other materials needed to sew them, and the fabric was donated by a member (value approximately $500.) Thank you to Veeta Ewan for generously giving of her time and talent to lead this significant sewing project!

Summer Coffee Hours
We have a long tradition of coffee hours after church on Sundays at Immanuel. It has been a great way to welcome new people and stay in touch with others. We would like to invite new summer helpers to work with an experienced coffee hour volunteer one Sunday this summer. All you have to do is bring something to share (fruit, cheese and crackers, muffins, or cookies) and help to clean up afterwards. The experienced helper will make the coffee. It is a good way to meet new people and assist our long time volunteers. Please email susanzuck@yahoo.com if you would like to help.
