My passion for home health care began three years ago. Our family was searching for home care for my mother who was suffering from a progressive form of dementia. Unfortunately, she lost her battle at my home this past October, surrounded by family.
When the daily activities of caring for Sarah became too much for my father, we began the search for assistance in their home of 56 years. My mother’s wish was to remain in familiar and comfortable surroundings. Therefore, home health care was our best option.
I quickly learned that effective care depends upon extremely committed and passionate individuals who understand the needs of those placed in their charge. Consistency and compassion were two of the most important qualities we looked for in home health care workers. These individuals were extremely difficult to find.
Having spent my entire professional career in the staffing industry, I knew there had to be a better way to deliver health care services to those in crisis. It was then that I decided to form my own home health care agency.
