The Brilliance School is in the heart of recruitment season, so we're engaging with the Garfield Heights and Akron communities to connect with scholars, families, and community organizations. Every afternoon and weekend, our dedicated recruitment team is meeting families at their doors to enroll them at Brilliance.
When our recruitment team meets a new family, one of their most important tasks is identifying the social and emotional support needs that we can fill. Psychology Today finds that children whose parents are involved in their education have fewer instances of discipline for behavior, higher grades and higher standardized test scores. Because parental involvement is so important, we encourage every family to be our partner in their scholar's education. As we answer their questions and share our stories, we build a lasting support network that scholars can lean on throughout their education.
In addition to meeting families at their doors, we are inviting families and community organizations alike to our variety of events. For families, our fun-tilled afternoon and evening events help families get to know us in a social setting. These First Fridays and Community Days include music, free food, vendors, and face painting for families to enjoy while they meet our principals, co-founders, and recruitment coordinators.
