Dear Goddard families,
The Goddard School® located in City Park West is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where your child can discover, learn, and have fun as they grow. With that in mind, we are excited to announce that our School is introducing an enhancement to our educational program called Wonder of Learning™.
Written by Goddard School curriculum experts, Wonder of Learning™ is a research-driven, inquiry-based approach to learning that compliments the play-based and child-led experiences you are used to. It builds on your child’s natural curiosity, helping them to learn about themselves and the world around them. This Goddard School program meets children’s individualized interests, abilities and skills and offers exciting opportunities for you to extend the learning at home.
We will be partnering with you in the coming weeks to incorporate new tools and resources surrounding this educational approach, including a new Goddard Family Hub for providing reports to you. The Goddard Family Hub, which will be sent through a platform called Kaymbu, will replace Tadpoles. We will be sharing more information over the coming weeks. With this shift in platform and approach to curriculum, communication will look a little different than you have seen in the past. Weekly newsletters will go in depth on what will be the learning focus each week while daily reports give brief lesson overviews, daily care information and photos.
The kickoff for Wonder of Learning curriculum will be Tuesday, September 5th. Communication will still come through Tadpoles for the first three weeks. We will send out details on how to join the Goddard Family Hub app during this time and families will begin using the new platform beginning September 25th.
We invite you to contact our leadership team with any questions along the way.
Additionally, we will be hosting a Back to School Night on Thursday, September 14th from 5-6pm where families can learn more about their child's classroom and how Wonder of Learning will look for the upcoming school year. You can drop in at any time during the hour, but we will have information sessions taking place at 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm. If you have children in multiple classrooms, we encourage you to visit the younger child's classroom first. Be aware that children will still be on site during this time and at least one of the teachers will be supervising children during the sessions. We look forward to seeing you there!
