My Experience & Expertise Can Help You
With Special Needs Financial Planning!
With over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, I have a deep passion for helping Special Needs families. Prior to stepping into my professional field of choice today, I obtained my Master's Degree in Speech Language
Pathology and worked in a hospital in North Carolina with adult and pediatric neuro patients. In 2001, after some reflection about the direction of my career as a Speech Pathologist, I joined Principal Financial Group to begin working in financial services to educate employers and employees on the importance of saving for retirement, and how to make the investment decisions within retirement plans. Following this job and moving to Wisconsin, I took 2 years off to care for Emily when
she was born in 2010. Being a new parent to a child
who has Down syndrome, I was desperate for answers as to how I would plan for Emily’s future financially, because I knew it would be different than planning for my other two daughters who do not have special needs.
My search for answers led me to join Northwestern Mutual from 2012 to 2014 as an Associate Financial Representative. Here, I learned about risk protection and insurance planning. Through this experience, I realized that I wanted to focus my financial career by specializing in serving families who have a loved one with Special Needs. I joined Crescendo Wealth Management in 2014 where I have been able to build my practice the way I believe families need to be served and treated to properly plan and prepare for the future of not only their child with Special Needs, but their family as a whole. At Crescendo, clients have the ability to work with me on an hourly basis, based on assets under management, and/or a combination of both.
I am a strong advocate for the
Special Needs Community, as I created a Special
Needs Advisory Board in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin.
I speak and write frequently on topics related to Special Needs Planning, and I am a Co-founder of GiGi’s Playhouse in Milwaukee, which is a Down Syndrome Achievement Center. Special Needs Financial Planning can be overwhelming, but I am here to help. I personally understand the challenges families face when planning for the future of their loved one with special needs and I believe my experience and expertise can help ease your concerns, leaving you feeling confident in your
financial planning.
