Hello friend! I have three questions to ask you. First, how is the school year going so far for your child(ren)? We're praying that it is going well for you and for them. Next, how are things going for you where you work? We're trusting that God is using you where He has placed you. And third, if you love sports, how is your college or NFL team doing so far? If they're not doing so well, the prayer room is always open for you.
 God is so good to us here at City View Church as we are having an amazing fall. I love meeting new people who come to our church or having people who go to City View introduce me to someone they invited.
Speaking of new people, it is my honor and privilege to tell you about Dr. Ron McManus who will be preaching this Sunday, September 18, in our 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. service in our worship center as we continue in a very timely and strategic series "Even If."
Dr. Ron McManus served as senior pastor for over 16 years at First Assembly of God in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Under his leadership, the church grew from a congregation of 350 to over 3,000 attendees. He has also served as a denominational executive and a member of several college and seminary boards.
 Ron received his B.A. Degree from Southeastern University, Lakeland, Florida, an M.A. Degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Springfield, Missouri, and a D. Min. from Erskine Seminary, Due West, South Carolina. He has spoken and conducted seminars throughout the United States, as well as in Europe, South Korea, India, Singapore, Philippines, China and Latin America. He has a heart for pastors and a passion for leadership training.
Dr. McManus served as President of EQUIP (Encouraging Qualities Undeveloped In People), a not-for-profit Christian organization in Atlanta, Georgia, founded by Dr. John Maxwell from 1997-2000. EQUIP's ministry is to develop leaders in over 100 countries. He is the former president of the Center for Church Leadership, and currently serves as a consultant to the Church Transformation Initiative of the General Council of the Assemblies of God.
You will not want to miss hearing this powerful communicator this coming Sunday. I'm really excited and thrilled to have him minister to us. You will be challenged, convicted and encouraged as you learn to trust God in troubled times. We look forward to seeing you and some of your friends or family on Sunday.
