MIU’s Great Goals for 2022/23
Introducing our Strategic Expansion Fund
Greetings!
With the Holidays upon us, and the calendar year coming to a close, I feel inspired to reach out to you as one of our cherished donors. This year we are significantly upgrading our Annual Fund to encompass a greater breadth of key University support. We are calling this our Strategic Expansion Fund.
In addition to supporting our core operations, your donations will now also impact key strategic expansionary endeavors: expanded marketing, exciting new academic programs, strategic hiring, key dormitory expansion — all vital to MIU’s growth and expansion.
Allow me to share some exciting news.

MIU’s International footprint continues to expand:
- Tuition revenues from China this year will reach 1 million dollars, with over 100 students currently enrolled in our doctoral and master’s programs in Management.
- Our sister institute in South Africa, Maharishi Invincibility Institute, has become a juggernaut, expanding beyond its original campus in Johannesburg to five different locations throughout the country.
- We are now partnering with Toyo University, a highly respected university in Tokyo. Under this partnership, numerous Japanese students will study here at MIU, while MIU students will study and enjoy the culture in Japan.
- In Nepal, Consciousness-Based education is expanding quadratically. A nationwide resurgence and implementation of Maharishi AyurVeda is underway. Nepalese leaders in the fields of education, politics and research are regularly visiting our Fairfield campus, returning to Nepal inspired and ready to expand the adoption of Consciousness-Based education there.
- We are heartened to hear that a two-year-long war between Ethiopia, Africa’s second most populous country, and the Tigray National Regional State has ended. Ethiopia sends hundreds of students each year to our Computer Science Master’s program. Peace and stability in the region will allow these highly deserving, qualified students to again start enrolling here in record numbers.

On the domestic front:
- MIU Faculty continue to publish research and present at high-level conferences — in integrative medicine, mathematics, business, accounting, sustainable entrepreneurship, architectural design as medicine, national coherence, and societal peace, and more.
- Our comprehensive Digital Transformation project, made possible by generous donor support, is roaring ahead. From cybersecurity to campus-wide software integration, this ambitious project is allowing us to expand, and to meet the growing demand of our online learning programs.
- Our students continue to be strongly drawn to our Maharishi Vedic Science and Maharishi AyurVeda course offerings, with hundreds now expressing a desire to become teachers of Transcendental Meditation as an extension of their training. This will refresh and revitalize America’s TM teaching activities.
- The campus has been, and continues to be, utterly transformed with new roads, extensive renovations, landscaping, new sidewalks, and planting hundreds of trees. We have transformed the Fairfield IT and Business Park into a magnificent residential expansion campus, and we have also made important new land and property acquisitions. Construction on the first two townhouses on the Global Peace Village is well underway, and we can all soon look forward to taking a refreshing dip in a splendidly renovated Cowhig Family Aquatic Center this spring.

All this is made possible by your wonderful generosity every year. We have launched upon many expansionary projects — all essential to accommodate our amazing rate of growth. We need your continued strong help to fulfill these exciting commitments.
Please continue to support our University through its newly-christened Strategic Expansion Fund, which supports everything our Annual Fund has always supported — from scholarships to food service, from faculty to the Golden Domes, PLUS all the expansionary initiatives that have become so vital to our continued growth — all in fulfillment of Maharishi’s global goals.
