We are excited to announce that Michelle Horsley will join us on October 26 as Trinity Church's Director of Music Ministries.
Her first Sunday will be All Saints, November 1.
Michelle is a conductor, organist, pianist, and collaborative artist whose musical endeavors have taken her into diverse artistic engagements across the world. She has served churches of various sizes in Central Florida, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Central Connecticut and in positions of musical leadership and has extensive experience both leading and accompanying choirs in religious, academic, and community environments. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance from Stetson University and a Master of Sacred Music from Duquesne University.
In 2017 Michelle moved to Connecticut and served as the Director of Music at St. Matthew Lutheran Church (ELCA) of Avon, CT throughout 2017-2018 program year. In August of 2018, she succeeded Maestro Richard Coffey as Director of Music at South Church in New Britain and as the Artistic Director of the renowned South Church Music Series. She serves as a board-member of the Hartford AGO chapter as well as on the Jolidon Grant Sub-Committee, which distributes substantial annual funding for organ study and diverse musical programming throughout New England. During the summer, Michelle works as the Associate Music Director for the West Hartford Summer Arts Festival. Michelle has a private piano studio, where she teaches students of all ages. In 2020 she was voted to be the Sub-Dean of the Hartford AGO Chapter. She also does freelance work as a recording artist, guest organist/pianist, and music educator throughout Connecticut.
