August is National Breastfeeding Awareness Month and we want to take the opportunity to point out the positive effect breastfeeding can have on mothers and children.

Visalia Medical Clinic is excited to announce Paul Schofield as the CEO of the Kaweah Delta Medical Foundation.

Visalia Medical Clinic partnered with  Kaweah Delta Health Care District  in 2015 to create the Kaweah Delta Medical Foundation. In an effort to recruit more physicians and meet the needs of our growing community.

Welcome Gastroenterologist Dr. Hsueh
Gastroenterologist William Hsueh, MD, has joined Visalia Medical Clinic and is now accepting patients and referrals.

Dr. Hsueh (pronounced shay ) recently completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at West Virginia University. Previously he served his internal medicine residency at MedStar Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center and he earned his doctor of medicine degree, cum laude, at St. George’s University, School of Medicine. Dr. Hsueh is certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

The Wellness Center expands staff
Nurse practitioner Denise Junio, RN, BSN, PHP, MSN-FNP, has joined the VMC Wellness Center.

“I just fell in love with medicine, so I pursued my registered nurse license and followed that with earning my public health nurse license and a Master of Science in nursing,” she said. “My wide base of knowledge helps patients feel more at ease.”

Welcome back Cardiologist Dr. Rafie
Reza Rafie, MD, has returned to Visalia Medical Clinic after completing a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Kaiser Permanente Department of Cardiology.  

Interventional cardiology is a non-surgical process that focuses on catheter-based procedures, such as balloon angioplasty, stenting and valve repair, to address damaged or weakened vessels, narrowed arteries or other affected parts of the heart’s structure.

Welcome Dr. Quackenbush
Board-certified family practice physician Todd Quackenbush, MD has joined Visalia Medical Clinic and will be seeing patients at Sequoia Prompt Care on Ben Maddox Way.

Having a full-time physician at Sequoia Prompt Care is an all-new concept designed to better meet the needs of patients on the eastern side of Visalia.

Patients who don’t have a personal physician will be able to see Dr. Quackenbush as their primary care provider.
